This project was started as my senior design project for my technical diploma in Mechanical Design Engineering. My goals were to create a modular, cheap tool changing 3d printer that could facilitate other manufacturing processes (i.e. soldering, pick and place ++) Currently the bulk of the mechanical design is in a place that I am happy with for a v1.0, and I am ready to move on to software. The machine is a CoreXY configuration with space for 4 tool heads, and 4 material/component cartridges. At some point soon I plan on making YouTube content around the journey, and open sourcing a version of the design I am happy with.
