Motorized Blinds

I’m building a set of motorized blinds for the Summer 2026 Buildathon. I want to take regular window blinds and automate them using a small motor and a simple control system. I’ll be CAD modeling the sprocket and the motor casing in Fusion 360 so the mechanism fits cleanly onto standard blinds. For the electronics, I’m starting with an Arduino Uno and a breadboard to prototype the motor control and buttons before moving to a more compact setup later. By the end of the buildathon, my goal is to have a working prototype that can smoothly open and close the blinds and eventually support things like wireless control or light‑based automation.
