A handheld, self-contained plant environment sensor

Built by Sara Berarducci

I’m designing a sensor hub that can tell me what I need to know about a small local environment to stop me from killing my plants (believe me, I need the help). Current design utilizes RPI Pico, VEML 7700, AHT20, a small OLED display, and a capacitive soil moisture module, with plans to upgrade to a custom RP2040 carrier board. Drivers are written by yours truly in C. Electronics hardware in progress in KiCad. Case design planned in OnShape. Currently in the breadboard prototype stage.
